Mercy Chinwo, born on September 5, 1990, in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, is a Gospel Artiste who gained her music career at age 8.
She started singing at the age of 8 and released her first single, “Testimony,” in 2015.
In 2017, she signed with Gospel Music Label EeZee Conceptz.
Chinwo took her music ministry seriously after losing her father at a young age.
After winning Nigerian Idol, she landed her first film role in Yvonne Nelson’s film, House of Gold.
In 2018, she was awarded Best Gospel Artiste at the CLIMAX Awards 2018.
In 2019, she won Africa Gospel New Artiste of the Year, Female Artiste of the Year, and Africa Gospel Song of the Year (Excess Love).
In 2020, she was named Gospel Artiste of the Year at the AFRIMMA Awards.
Mercy and Pastor Blessed wed in August 2022, and welcomed Baby Charis in October 2023.
